What Xavi said in the Press Conference after Atletico Madrid vs Barcelona ?
Xavi seemed happy and pleased about the hard fought victory, as it takes them to the top of the table with a 3 point lead over defending champions Real Madrid.
“Three golden points, we took our chance, and have learned to suffer.”
Barca manager further stated that,
“I think this victory isn’t just about three points, but it also improves our morale for the other matches to come. This means a lot.”

Xavi later on discussed about the change of formation during the match, and how it affected the game,
“The system convinced me. I think in the first half hour we controlled the game a lot. We understood that we were superior attacking and that the three defenders got the ball out very well.”
Even though defensively Barcelona showed great character and desire, they weren’t able to have control of the game. Xavi addressed this issue stating,
“When changing the system, sometimes a footballer doesn’t feel completely comfortable. We changed to a 3-4-3 because I thought it would give us more control and possession. At first it went well for us, but it cost us a bit later.”
Overall Xavi wasn’t over the moon but was delighted about the win, and insisted that there was a lot to learn from that game and has to move forward in their pursuit of the League Title.

What Simeone had to say in the Press Conference after Atletico Madrid vs Barcelona ?
Atletico Manager was disappointed with the result but was satisfied with the performance that the team had put up. He stated,
“The team played well starting from the first 20 minutes. I’m gonna stick with that conclusion: 70 minutes of good individual and collective football. However, we missed out on the most important thing, the result.”
Simeone also mentioned about ‘Pablo Barrios’ who became the youngest Atletico player to start against Barcelona under Simeone.
