Barcelona’s 18-year-old Ansu Fati the new heir and the successor for epic Number 10 jersey made his return to the Camp Nou with an amazing performance. The winger got an injury because of a torn meniscus on his left knee last November in a game versus Real Betis. He had to go through several surgeries and almost missed 10 months of football. But as we all know Fati was extremely dedicated and motivated to make his comeback and he delivered with a spectacular performance yesterday.
Ansu came in for Luuk De Jong on the 80th minute with the cheer of 35,000 fans all chanting his name. Though he was out for 322 days he never showed any hesitance and picked where he left off. Immediately after coming on the bench 18-year-old looked absolutely throttled from the first moment itself. Picked up the ball and turned out his man inside out and won a corner for the team with a lovely play.
Then in the 85th minute, he was very unlucky not to win a penalty because of another clever move. But he never gave up and this hungry lion cub worked so hard to add a goal for his tally. Exactly after 1 minute of added time, Ansu with his blistering pace he carried the ball and created a wonderful opportunity to get Barca’s third goal. Though he had the chance to release the ball to Puig or Demir he decided to go by himself. This youngster never had a shred of doubt in his mind and fired a shot, busting the net and scoring his first goal of the season as well as 2021.
