Barcelona win derby 1-0 against Espanyol under Xavi
Barcelona faced Espanyol today in the Barcelona Derby after the international break at Camp Nou. The speciality of today’s game was this was the first match of Barca under Xavi. Also since last year, Espanyol wasn’t able to play in laliga Barcelona Derby took place after 2 years.
Xavi decided to choose the traditional 4-3-3 formation and put his trust a lot more in youngsters. He decided to start 17 year old La Masian winger Ilias Akhomach and made this young culers dream to play in Blaugrana colors come true. With the absence of many players Xavi had to play Oscar Mingueza as a Left Back and young Gavi as the Right winger.
