Weeks later, he made his Champions League debut coming on as a substitute for Dortmund against Zenit St. Petersburg making him the competition’s youngest ever player (aged 16 years 18 days) as well . His 1st senior goal for Dortmund came just weeks after making his debut where he scored against Union Berlin rewriting Bundesliga record books as the youngest ever Bundesliga scorer (at 16 years 28 days), breaking the record set by Florian Wirtz of Leverkusen ( at 17 years 34 days). He has only climbed higher and higher since then and is now a regular starter for Borussia Dortmund.
Cameroonian by origin, Dortmund wonderkid chose to represent Germany in the world stage, winning the U21 European Championship with Germany in 2021. Still only 18, He even made his world cup debut in the 2022 World Cup against Japan which Germany unfortunately lost 1-2 .
Playing Style
Experts and pundits point out similarities between Moukoko’s playing style to that of Cameroonian legend Samuel Eto’o, who coincidentally, also played for Barcelona.
