What’s next for Barcelona?
With all the heat of Messi possibly making a legendary move back to FC Barcelona, RAC1’s Roger Saperas just provided the above update on the club’s latest financial situation. With time running out Barcelona must make a lot of important decisions to make the magic happen.
Once the economic viability plan is submitted to La Liga, the league will assign all salary limits for the club. Then Blaugrana can decide with what margins for contract offers they are working with. They will have to cook up the contract they are planning to offer Lionel Messi, within these margins.
The legendary Lionel Messi has already stalled solid deals from Paris St. German, to wait and see what his possibility with Barcelona is going to be. His ex-teammate, Xavi is still keeping close tabs and the pattern says that both parties are very determined in making this move happen.
How much money are we talking about?
Reports say that Barca could offer Messi a two-year contract weighing 13 million Euros per season. Barcelona will have to reduce a massive 200 million Euros wage bill to squeeze Messi into the club.

But on the other hand, bringing Messi back will be such a game changer in sports, building a brand, maybe even superior to the ‘Air Jordan’. Sources say that Messi could generate between 25-30% of the club’s income alone. Some say it could even be as much high as one-third of Barcelona’s entire income per season.
