The Copa del Rey night few days back surely would be one of the craziest nights for Barcelona this season. Barcelona was almost stunned to an early exit from the tournament by the Spanish third-tier CF Intercity, where the LaMasia graduate Oriol Soldevila Puig scored a career-best hattrick in the night. However, the Cules had the last laugh with Ansu Fati’s goal in the extra time.

Oriol Soldevila Puig, age 21 played a game of a lifetime, where he scored a brilliant Hattrick (3 Goals) against Barcelona, almost going into the next round. The youth was once training with La Masia (2018 – 2020), not to mention the young man was born in Barcelona as well.
Soldevila Puig scored 3 and forced Barcelona to play the extra time, where somehow Barca was able to secure their victory. LaMasia Graduate Oriol Soldevila became the first player after Kylian Mbappe to score a hattrick against Barcelona.
Only four minutes after the game started, Ronaldo Araujo gave Barcelona the lead.
But in the 59th minute, Oriol Soldevila scored his first goal to tie the game for his team. Before Soldevila again tied the score in the 74th minute, Ousmane Dembele had regained Barca’s lead seven minutes earlier.
Raphinha scored for the visitors to make it 3-2 moments later, but LaMasia graduate Soldevila Puig startled Xavi with a stunning goal in the 86th minute to make it 3-3. However, Barca ultimately prevailed when Ansu Fati’s goal in extra time at the 103:00 mark secured the victory for the championship contenders.

“I’ve been with Cule since I can remember, I’m a member too. With the first I was happy, with the second and third I couldn’t believe it,” spoke the former La Masia player in joy.
