Despite all the negativity, Andreas Christensen made his debut for FC Barcelona on the 13th of August 2022 against Rayo Vallecano which ended in a goalless draw. He played 7 laliga matches so far for Barcelona and hardly ever kept a wrong foot in any of the matches.
Up until this day, Andreas Christensen played very well for FC Barcelona, he never complained about his game time, performed at a great level when he was called on and he has been a team player for FC Barcelona.
Ronald Araujo and Jules Kounde might have the limelight on them this season but Andreas Christensen is as important as Araujo and Kounde for the success of FC Barcelona.
In the recent laliga match against Atletico de Madrid , Christensen once again dropped a masterclass of a performance to help the defense keep a clean sheet. Ronald Araujo’s excellent performance overshadowed Christensen. But the culers who have seen what he is capable of praised the Danish defender highly.
In the recent cup triumph over the arch-rivals Real Madrid, once again Andreas Christensen shined as the Catalans won 3-1 in Riyadh to claim the Spanish Super Cup. Christensen outperformed his former Chelsea teammate Antonio Rudiger and showed those who doubted him that the Barcelona board made the correct decision in signing him in the summer.
Proving to the haters up until now that he is more than capable of playing for Blaugrana, Andreas Christensen will be a great asset that Xavi possess in his squad, if we were to win major titles Andreas Christensen alongside Ronald Araujo, Jules Kounde and Alejandro Balde would be the key factors to solidifying that defense which was a nightmare for FC Barcelona in the recent seasons.
We hope that this core of young and exciting players would give us Culers much happiness in the near future.
