Despite conceding 4 goals on the night The Mexican Center Back C.Montes managed to record 2 successful tackles and win a foul in order to reduce the damage on the night. Although Joselu and Puado scored for Espanyol, the efforts of César Montes must be appreciated and BarcelonaLatest decided to honor him in this category.

Lewandowski is the first Barça player to score 30+ goals across all competitions in his debut season since R9.

The polishman managed to score a brace in the derby and moved past 20 goals in the laliga season. Lewandowski leads the Pichichi race with 21 Laliga goals, ahead by 4 from second placed Karim Benzema with 4 games to go. After disappointing exits from European Competitions, FC Barcelona managed to win 2 domestic titles out of the possible 3 in this season and broke the 3 year league drought to bring back the trophy to the Camp nou. After winning 8 league titles as a player Xavi now won his first Laliga title as the manager of FC Barcelona ending the season on a high note ( still 4 games remaining in the league).

In his first full season Xavi managed to defeat Real Madrid in the Spanish super cup final and won the Laliga title, with more depth and decent reinforcements in the next season Xavi must try to take this team towards Champions League glory. His record in the European competitions has been disappointing upto this day and the Barcelona gaffer should do everything in his power to reverse the situation in the next season.
